RAMUNĖ BURŠKAITIENĖ – kūrėja, kurios praktikoje porceliano plastika tampa fenomenologine meninio tyrimo ir akademinės refleksijos erdve.
„Esu tarpdisciplininė kūrėja, dirbanti medžiagos, formos ir atminties sankirtoje. Mano meninėje praktikoje svarbus jautrus santykis su paviršiumi, reljefu ir pėdsaku kaip patirties nešėjais. Akademinė patirtis leidžia į kultūros paveldą žvelgti ne tik vizualiai, bet ir analitiškai, todėl Žagarės rezidenciją matau kaip galimybę tyrimu ir medžiaga grįstu būdu reflektuoti miesto istorinius sluoksnius bei žydiškojo paveldo ženklus.
Rezidencijos vizija: projekto ašis – paviršius kaip liudininkas. Rezidencijos metu Ramunė tyrinės miesto erdves, daugiausia dėmesio skirdama Žagarės žydų religinių pastatų komplekso prieigoms bei mažosios architektūros objektams, kuriuose išlikę laiko, buvimo ir nebuvimo pėdsakai.
Siekdama užtikrinti aukštą etinį standartą dirbant su paveldu, Ramunė taikys neinvazinį, kontaktinį paviršiaus atspaudų fiksavimo folija metodą, o surinkti atspaudai bus atkuriami pasitelkiant skulptūrinį gipsą.
Galutinis rezultatas – kūrinys „Paviršių atmintys“: ne tik asmeninę refleksiją talpinantis darbas, bet ir erdvė dialogui tarp kolektyvinę atmintį menančių artefaktų ir dabarties.

RAMUNĖ BURŠKAITIENĖ – an artist whose practice transforms porcelain sculpture into a space for phenomenological artistic inquiry and academic reflection.
“I am an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of material, form, and memory. In my artistic practice, a sensitive relationship with surface, relief, and marks as carriers of experience is crucial. My academic background allows me to view cultural heritage not only visually but also analytically, which is why I see the Žagarė residency as an opportunity to reflect on the city’s historical layers and signs of Jewish heritage through a research- and material-based approach.
Residency vision: the project’s focus is on the surface as a witness. During the residency, Ramunė will explore the city’s spaces, focusing primarily on the approaches to the complex of Jewish religious buildings in Žagarė and on small-scale architectural objects that bear traces of time, presence, and absence.
To ensure high ethical standards in working with heritage, Ramunė will use a non-invasive, contact method of capturing surface impressions with foil, and the collected impressions will be recreated using sculptural plaster.
The final result is the work „Surface Memories”—not only a piece containing personal reflection, but also a space for dialogue between artifacts evoking collective memory and the present.
